Firstly after doing some serious measuring clamping measuring and clamping
I could weld the A panel in place also after checking the door gap front wing window corner and
bonnet spacing. The door gap was a little small so after shaving a bit of the inner A post where the A panel gets folded around it all fell in to place.
Drilled the Wing and welded the wing to the A panel was the easiest soloution for me instead of the other way round. Also I only tacked it in place incase it needed to be moved all though at this stage i
New it was correct so decided to tack it firmly in place.
Then came more measuring checking and clamping in place, bonnet off bonnet on and checkking overall the correct spacing.
Bonnet on and wing what more firmly welded still needing finishing.
Now checking the gaps again and bonnet and now keeping a more stringent eye on the cars
"Driverside wing" (left) getting ready for that to be tacked in place.
The drivers side still needs to move in a bit towards the bonnet.
Here the bonnet and wing line up very nicley, after all that measuring clamping and checking it better had ;-)
For a first time I am very happy with my results..
